Teachers must be evaluated too!

Here is a debate I propose, as feedback from students is fundamental for teaching:

I suggest you take part in it anonymously...

1) Do you consider classes are adequate to your needs? i.e. Do you think they are helping you make progress?

2) What do you like and dislike about the teaching methods?

3) What things could be improved?

Feel free to add more points to the ones I've suggested if you deem it fit.

  2. Lessons are crap and the teacher is very strict and mean to us. He makes us feel stressed.

  4. This course I´m not motivate.
I think grammar isn´t very difficult this year, so perhaps the trouble is we don´t speak a lot in class.
I´d like one day a week only for speaking and listening.
besides I need homworks (exercises, senteces to translate or writings),these make me study

  6. Hi, I do not agree with Teresa: the grammar is very, very difficult at least for me so sometimes, I feel a litle depressed.
There are a lot of new words and many new adjectives and irregular verbs and...
But in other case I agree with her it would be a good idea one day a week only for speaking and listening.
    That´´s all.
    thanks

  7. I wish more people would express their opinions... You have no idea how positive this is.
So thank you again, Teresa and the author of the other anonymous comment.

We will speak about it in class.

  8. I´m agree with Teresa.I need to practise a lot of grammar,of course, but I need more exercises about listening and speak too. For example, see more videos in class about english or american people to difference their accents, and than ask questions about that video by "speaking" or "writting".

  9. Hi!! the first thing I want to say it's that I like very much your lessons. I thing you motivate us to speak: many times the problem isn't is that we don't have one day to do speaking, it's that we don't talk in class because we feel embarassed and Carlos have to question us one by one. If we talk and participe more in class, we would be making speaking!
Besides, I desagree whit Teresa when she says that we need more homework. The teacher posts everyday exercices in our blog, and you can do it if you want!! And I am sure that if you make some homework by yourselve he will be delighted to correct it.
In conclussion, I think we have to try to improbe our own actitud before to criticise the method of Charles.
    Congratulations for your lessons.

  10. I consider that this year the classes are very motivating. I think that it's not necessary that the teacher puts more homework. I think that we have to practice more speaking and listening on our own. He can't do it for us! The time in class is not enough, so if we really want to learn a language, we will have to inmerse in it: watching English films, listening to music in English and even singing them. Surfing the net we can do it! It's easy if we try. And, of course, a good way to complete the Carlos' classes is visiting his blog. Thank you for your work!

  11. I agree with positive posts about Carlos attitude, method and work. Someone seems not to have too much experience about E teachers. Sincerely,I think we´re very lucky about having a teacher like him. Due to his huge knowledge, we may feel sometimes lost, depressed an even a crap (using the cute word I´ve just learned thanks for the first anonimous). WE MUST STUDY HARD and put the focus in our behaviour.
Congratulations Carlos, thanks for your work.

  12. Hi, there!
    Here is María from advanced!

Why don't you offer the assessment to us?
You know...I'm feeling very huge jealousy from them.

    María.
